Notes

A deep reddish, moderately strong, malty, complex Belgian ale with hints of licorice in the finish. Inspired by St. Feuillien's Brune.

Feel free to switch up the hops. I gleaned from the St. Feuillien website that Brewer's Gold are used. The description on these from my hops book is black currant, fruit and spice characteristics.
If you want to use licorice - use the Brewer's Licorice. Use a third of the stick or half max - toss it in with 15 minutes left in the boil.
