Main window of Beer mode, the "Mashing" («Затирание») tab
 Status line («Строка состояния»)The type and state of the current program line, the step number "N of M" («N из M»). Below it is the step progress in percent.

Samovar's operation when brewing beer differs significantly from Rectification mode.
Samovar is set up for Beer mode in 3 places:
1. In the Samovar_ini.h file, the lines:
#define BOILING_TEMP 98.9 - the boiling temperature on your equipment. On the Boiling («Кипячение») line, Samovar heats the boiler up to BOILING_TEMP + 5° and uses the same value to turn off heating if the wort overheats. The start of boiling itself is detected automatically, by the boiler temperature stabilizing.

2. On the
Beer tab («Пиво») in Settings: the brewing layout (All-in-one / HERMS / RIMS), the PID controller coefficients, the regulator voltage (power) in temperature holding mode and in heating and boiling mode, and use of the boost heating element during boiling.
3. On the "Program" («Программа») and "Advanced" («Дополнительно») tabs while Beer mode is on.
Note.
The interface shows the readings of all temperature sensors, if they are connected and assigned on the Settings («Настройки») → Temperature («Температура») tab.
This is necessary to implement the various brewing layouts
But, only one temperature sensor is monitored. The one selected in the mashing program line.
This way you can use spare sensors as information sensors for your own needs. For example: to watch the temperature of the rinse water in an additional container, etc.
The line temperature is taken from the mashing program. The tolerance for reaching it is the "setpoint overshoot" («вылет за уставку») from the Temperature («Температура») tab for the sensor selected in the program line: from 0.3° to 3°; a value below 0.3° (including 0) is treated as 0.3°.
What is shown in the window
Status line (at the top): the type and state of the current program line and the step number "N of M" («N из M»). Below it is a bar and the Step progress («Прогресс шага») in percent: the share of the line time that has elapsed. It is calculated only for the Pause («Пауза») and Boiling («Кипячение») lines, and only after the temperature has been reached (for boiling - after boiling has been detected). While heating up, the progress is 0%.
Key values: the boiler temperature, the setpoint and time of the current step, the stirrer state.
Sensors: the readings of all assigned sensors (steam, column section, boiler, water, TCA).
Diagram: the picture depends on the brewing layout selected on the Beer («Пиво») tab. All-in-one - a kettle with a stirrer and a heating element; HERMS - a mash tun, a recirculation pump and a boiler with a coil; RIMS - a mash tun, a pump and a flow-through pipe with a heating element. The stirrer or pump is animated while the device of the current program line is on, the heating element is highlighted while heating, and during a pause the label "PAUSE" («ПАУЗА») appears.

Current step: the line type, the temperature, the time and the next program line.
Regulator: the current and target voltage (power), the regulator mode and power. There is no manual voltage entry in Beer mode - Samovar works by its own algorithm for reaching and holding the set temperature (see Heater operation algorithm).
Pump: the speed slider of the wort transfer pump (circulation pump), see Advanced tab.
Status line
Example:
The malt has been added. "Next" («Далее») was pressed.
Samovar will send the message "Transition to program line No. 2; Temperature pause: 68.00°, time: 60.00 min" («Переход к строке программы №2; Температурная пауза: 68.00°, время: 60.00 мин») and will show in the status line: "Pause; Pause 68.00°; Heating; Current T: 61.50°" («Пауза; Пауза 68.00°; Разогрев; Текущая Т: 61.50°»).
That is, it is heating up, and the program time is not counting.
When the temperature reaches 68° (more precisely, 68° minus the tolerance, 0.3° by default), the message "Temperature pause 68.00° reached. Waiting 60.00 minutes." («Достигнута температурная пауза 68.00°. Ждем 60.00 минут.») will arrive, and the line will change to "Pause; Pause 68.00°; Progress: 1.7%" («Пауза; Пауза 68.00°; Прогресс: 1.7%»). The step time in the "Current step" («Текущий шаг») card shows the duration of the line according to the program; the heating time between pauses is not included in it.
Other states: "Heating to malt mash-in temperature" («Разогрев до температуры засыпи солода»), "Waiting for malt mash-in" («Ожидание засыпи солода»), "Boiling - heating" («Кипячение - нагрев»), "Boiling 60.00 min" («Кипячение 60.00 мин»), "Cooling to 30.00" («Охлаждение до 30.00»), "Waiting. Press 'Next program'" («Ожидание. Нажмите 'Следующая программа'»), "Fermentation; Hold T=26.00°" («Ферментация; Поддерж. Т=26.00°»). If the brew is paused, the line starts with "On pause" («На паузе»).
The countdown for a program line starts slightly before the set temperature is reached. More details in the section Mashing program.
Buttons
Turn heating on («Включить нагрев») / Turn heating off («Выключить нагрев»): start or stop executing the set program. Before the start, Samovar checks all program lines; if there is an error in some line, the start is cancelled with a message giving the line number. When stopped, the message "Mashing program finished" («Программа затирания завершена») arrives.
Pause («Пауза») / Resume («Продолжить»): a manual brew pause. It turns off heating, cooling, the stirrer and the pump and does not let the line advance further. The pause time does not count toward the line hold time; after "Resume" the stirrer schedule continues from where it was interrupted. Messages: "Mashing paused." («Затирание поставлено на паузу.») and "Mashing resumed." («Затирание продолжено.»). On the Autotune («Автотюнинг») and Lua Script («Lua Скрипт») lines the pause is postponed until the nearest brewing line.
Next («Далее»): move to the next line of the mashing program (with confirmation). If you press "Next" on a Cooling («Охлаждение») line while the wort is hotter than the target, Samovar will ask you to repeat the press within 10 seconds.

Settings («Настройки»): go to the settings tab.
