The values on this tab are used in Beer mode. Exceptions: the "BK power after boiling starts" («Мощность БК после закипания») field belongs to
Wash column mode, and the "Use boost heating element when boiling" («Использовать разгонный тэн при кипении») checkbox also works in Distillation mode.

 Brewing order
The brewhouse layout, not a recipe. "All-in-one / BIAB" - heating by the boiler sensor (mash), the stirrer works as set in the program. "HERMS" - PID by the water sensor (boiler), the pump continuously circulates the mash through the coil, the boiler sensor monitors the mash. "RIMS" - PID by the column section sensor (return line), the pump runs continuously; heating without flow on a real RIMS is dangerous.

 PID regulator coefficients for heating
Kp, Ki, Kd. Found by automatic calibration (the "Autotune" («Автотюнинг») program line) or manually.
|
Regulator voltage/power in temperature holding mode
The maximum voltage (power) the regulator applies to the heater while holding a temperature rest.
|
Regulator voltage/power in heating and boiling mode
The voltage (power) when heating up to the set temperature and on the "Boil" («Кипячение») line.
|
 BK power after boiling starts
The working power of Wash column mode after the boiler starts boiling.
|
Use boost heating element when boiling
If cleared, the boost heating element is not switched on on the "Boil" line. Also works in Distillation mode.

PID regulator coefficients
You can run an automatic calibration of the PID regulator coefficients.
To do this, fill the boiler with water and run the following program:
Program for PID automatic calibration: a "Pause" («Пауза») line and an "Autotune" («Автотюнинг») line with the same temperature
Samovar will heat up to the specified temperature and then start the automatic calibration. When the calibration is complete, Samovar will write the new coefficients to the settings, start using them immediately and move on to the next program line. You do not need to reboot Samovar. If the coefficients could not be saved, the message "PID autotune not saved" («PID autotune не сохранён») appears. The calibration process can take several hours. But the accuracy of temperature holding should improve. You can also adjust the PID regulator coefficients manually in the settings.
Warning. Without special knowledge, you should not change the PID regulator coefficients arbitrarily.
Regulator voltage in temperature holding mode
If you think the temperature rests are not being held correctly, you can change the regulator voltage in temperature holding mode.
Samovar holds the temperature during rests using PWM.
The value in the "Regulator voltage/power in temperature holding mode" («Напр./мощность регулятора в режиме поддержания темп.») field (for example, 100 volts) is the maximum voltage that can be applied to the heater in temperature holding mode.
That is, no more than 100 volts will be applied to the heater in temperature holding mode (a temperature rest). How often this voltage is applied is determined by Samovar's logic.
Practical examples:
If you have a large, uninsulated mash vessel in a cold room and a weak main heater, the mash temperature may drop while passing through the temperature rests.
In that case the following can happen: Samovar has to apply 100 volts to the heater constantly, but even so the mash temperature keeps falling.
When the temperature falls by more than the value set (in degrees C°) in the line:
#define HEAT_DELTA 1
of the Samovar_ini.h file, then to return to the set temperature Samovar starts applying, through the regulator, the voltage from the "Regulator voltage/power in heating and boiling mode" («Напр./мощность регулятора в режиме нагрева и кипения») field (heating) to the load.
To avoid this, increase the regulator voltage in temperature holding mode. For example, to 120 volts.
Or another example.
The temperature in the brewing vessel first exceeds (overshoots) the temperature rest set in the mash program line. This can happen if a heater that is too powerful for the vessel is used. In that case, leave the regulator voltage in temperature holding mode at 100, and increase the value of the line:
#define HEAT_DELTA 1
by a few units.
Regulator voltage in heating and boiling mode
You can set a reduced regulator voltage for when the "Boil" («Кипячение») program line is used. This is needed when brewing certain beer styles, or when a powerful heating element is used on a small brewing vessel.
Note.
The value set in this line also applies to heating up to the rest temperature (while the mash is colder than the setpoint by more than HEAT_DELTA), which lets you set, and quickly change, the main heater's power for the whole Beer mode.
BK power after boiling starts
The working power of the heater in
Wash column mode after the boiler starts boiling. If the first line of the BK program sets its own power, that one is used. A value below the minimum that the firmware substitutes is not accepted.
Use boost heating element when boiling
Lets you disable the use of the boost heating element when the "Boil" program line is used. The boost heating element will still work during brewing with other program lines, according to the settings.
The checkbox also works in Distillation mode: if it is cleared, the boost heating element is switched off immediately when the boiler starts boiling.
