Beer Brew Journal on the Website and in the Apps
As in other modes, the brew log in Beer mode goes to the samovar-tool.ru cloud and is available on the page
Logs and Charts in the Cloud. In addition to this log, the website and the mobile apps have a separate "Brew journal": a catalog of recipes, a list of brews with scheduled tasks, and a card for each brew with the plan and the actual results.
Beer recipe catalog
The website page
"Beer recipes" is the same catalog as the "Beer recipes from the website" card on the page
Loading BeerXML Recipes, but with the full set of filters: family, style type, recipe type, source, ranges of ABV (strength, % alcohol), IBU (bitterness) and OG (original gravity of the wort), search by name, and sorting by name, strength, bitterness, gravity, number of likes or update date.
The recipe card: a colored bar on the SRM scale (beer color - from straw to black, like a stout), targets for OG/FG (gravity before and after fermentation)/ABV/IBU/SRM, the grain bill (malt and other fermentables), hops with the time of addition, yeast, mashing steps, the author's notes, the source and the license. A slider scales the recipe from ¼ to 4× of the original volume - this changes only what is shown on the screen: the "Download BeerXML" button always gives the file in its original, unscaled form.
The "Start journal" button creates an entry in the account journal based on this recipe. The like icon lets you mark a recipe you liked. The file format itself is described on the website page
"BeerXML specification".

Brewer's account
The page
"Brewer's account" uses the same website account as the other samovar-tool.ru pages (the same login, the same device list).
The task board at the top of the page shows what needs to be done for the brews in progress, and when. Tasks appear automatically when a brew moves to the "Fermentation" state, according to the recipe or, if there is no recipe, according to the beer family:
"Gravity check" - 3 and 7 days after fermentation starts;
"Dry hop" - on day 5 for each hop added "dry" (Dry Hop), or at the time given in the recipe;
"Diacetyl rest" - after 10 days, for lagers only;
"Cold crash" - 2 days before "Packaging";
"Packaging" - on day 14 (day 21 for a lager), if the recipe does not specify its own maturation time;
"Carbonation check" - 14 days after packaging;
"Ready" - the day after the carbonation check.
Without a recipe (for example, for a brew started directly on the device), the time until packaging is taken from the family: ale - 14 days, lager - 21 days (and with a diacetyl rest), wheat beer - 10 days, Belgian - 18 days.
The list of brews is divided into the groups "Brewing", "Fermenting", "Done" and an archive (cancelled and merged entries). The "New brew" button opens a dialog: a recipe from the catalog or just a beer family, the start date and the batch volume.
The brew card opens when you click an entry in the list and consists of three tabs:
"Brew" - plan and actual results for the mashing steps, boiling and hop additions, quick gravity and temperature measurements;
"Ferment" - scheduled tasks (see above) and measurements taken during fermentation;
"Summary" - OG/FG/ABV, attenuation (what share of the sugar has fermented, in percent), brewhouse efficiency, IBU, the number of fermentation days, comparison with previous brews, as well as tasting and off-flavors.
Printing the card and printing a label (name, date, strength) are available only on the website, not in the apps.

Automatic entries. You do not have to create a brew on the website: if it is started on the device in Beer mode, an entry in the journal appears by itself, from the process log data - the same data that is shown on the page
Logs and Charts in the Cloud. It includes the mashing steps, boiling, the messages "Add the hops!" («Засыпьте хмель!») (as confirmation of the hop addition) and cooling. The device sends nothing extra for this - all the markup is done on the website from the same log data. If a brew was created on the website in advance by hand and then started on the device, the manual and automatic entries can be merged into one.
Beer in the apps
In the mobile apps (Android and iOS) the beer brew journal has a separate "Brewer" tab with two sections: "Journals" (the task board, the list and the brew card - the same as in the account on the website) and "Recipes" (a catalog with filters and a recipe card, without editing). The "Start batch" dialog is the same as on the website: a recipe with search, the date and the batch volume (the volume from the recipe is offered as a hint).
A push notification about a task or a change to a brew opens the app directly on the card of the relevant brew in the "Brewer" tab.
How it differs from Cheesemaking
The brewer's account is organized like the cheesemaker's account, but shorter: the card tabs have no "Wheels" (beer does not produce several cheese wheels from one batch), no "Care" (cheese aging with its own schedule of turning and rind washing) and no separate "Inventory". The task board, the list of entries and the merging of a manual entry with an automatic one work the same way for both modes.
