The Additional tab

Samovar 7.00: the pump speed slider has been moved to the "Mashing" («Затирание») tab (the "Pump" («Насос») panel of the main window of Beer mode). Only the Lua panel is left on the "Additional" («Дополнительно») tab.

Pump speed

PWM slider: the left edge is PWM_LOW_VALUE (100), the right edge is 1023 (12 V without modulation).

Input field

The same value as a number; you can type it in directly. 400 is the PWM_START_VALUE start value.

Here you can control the speed of the wort transfer pump (circulation pump) connected in place of the cooling pump. Or of the cooling pump itself, provided that in both cases the pump motor runs on 12 volts DC.
The power is changed by PWM modulation.

You can control it either with the slider on the speed scale or by typing a value directly into the field.
If the slider is at the far right position, 12 volts are applied to the pump without modulation. The input field value is 1023.

So, as a rough approximation, 10 units = 1% of power.

If the firmware was built without PWM pump support (USE_WATER_PUMP), trying to change the speed shows the message "Pump control is not supported by your hardware" («Управление насосом не поддерживается вашим оборудованием»).

Start and operating conditions:

If the pump is allowed to run, then when a program line starts executing the pump turns on at the power set in the line of the Samovar_ini.h file

(40% = 400 units) and keeps running at this power. If you move the slider, Samovar remembers the value and from then on works at the newly set power, but only during the current session. After Samovar is rebooted, if you need a different power you must set it again.

Warning!
In cyclic operation on a schedule (work/pause in a program line), after every pause the pump starts again at the PWM_START_VALUE start value; to get the required speed back, you have to move the slider again. The slider value is applied immediately if the pump is running at that moment.

If the slider is at the far left position, the pump does not stop but runs at the minimum power set in the line of the Samovar_ini.h file

On the "Cooling" («Охлаждение») and "Fermentation" («Брожение») lines, the firmware turns the cooling pump on at full power (1023) regardless of the slider position.

Script buttons

Buttons declared by the Lua script. If the script has not defined any buttons, the panel is hidden.

A field for a short piece of Lua code that is run once.

Run Lua («Выполнить Lua»)

Send the code from the field for execution.

Lua status («Статус Lua»)

The script state and the values it outputs.

The "Additional" («Дополнительно») tab contains the Lua script control panel. The panel is visible only if the script has defined a list of its buttons; the buttons from that list run script functions.
The "Lua status" («Статус Lua») line shows whether the script is running or stopped, and also displays information and values during execution. To run a script in Beer mode, it must be placed in the beer.lua file through the editor.

In the field provided, you can enter a short piece of Lua code once and give the "Run Lua" («Выполнить Lua») command. The code will be executed.
