Editing the Take-off Program

How to create and change the take-off program.

There are several ways to create a take-off program:

The first way. Edit the program directly, by adding/deleting rows in the table and setting the parameters you need, according to your preferences. Some parameters can be chosen from drop-down menus, and some you have to set yourself, observing certain conditions.
The program line being executed at the moment is highlighted in dark red italics, and lines already executed are in italics.
The program table during take-off: line No. 3 is being executed

It is best to edit the first line directly in the line itself:
Type («Тип») - from the drop-down menu choose "Heads" («Головы»)
Output («Выход») - set the take-off amount in milliliters.
Rate («Скорость») - liters per hour
Container («Ёмкость») - the number of the container into which the take-off goes. Remember that counting starts from position No. 0 (zero)
Volt. («Напр.») - set the real value your regulator works with. This is the voltage Samovar will command the regulator to set after boost is finished. For the SEM_AVR regulator the column is called "Power" («Мощн.») and is set in watts.
Time («Время») - calculated automatically. At the bottom of the column it is added up into a grand total.
(+) plus - adds a row below.
(-) minus - deletes the current row.

The second and following lines.
You can edit the remaining lines of the preset program and/or delete them by pressing (-), add a line below (+) and enter values in it.

Editing is done the same way as for the first line, but in the voltage settings you can now apply other conditions as well:
You can set the required value explicitly, for example 160.
Or:
- if the voltage is set to 0 (zero), the regulator is left alone: the actual voltage being applied at the moment stays.
For example: in the "Pre-flooding" («Предзахлеб») mode, 175 volts was set in the previous line, but by the time of the transition to the line with 0.00 set, Samovar had raised the voltage to 180 volts. Exactly 180 volts will be applied to the new take-off line.
- if a value of no more than 40 volts is set, this voltage is added to the current voltage.
For example: if 160 volts was set in the previous line (or Samovar itself raised the voltage to 160 volts), then when executing a line with 5 volts set, Samovar adds 5 volts to the actual voltage (160+5).
- if a negative value is set, this voltage is subtracted from the current one.
For example: if 175 volts was set in the previous line (or Samovar itself raised the voltage to 175 volts), then when applying a line with -5 (minus 5) volts set, Samovar subtracts 5 volts from the actual voltage (175-5).
For the SEM_AVR regulator (watts) the boundary between a correction and an absolute value is 400 W.

These voltage setting conditions apply to all take-off modes, including the "Pause" («Пауза») line.
Mandatory condition: in the first line of the program the voltage must be set as a real value (more than 40 volts or 400 watts). Otherwise the program will not be set and will not start, and the message will state the reason: without this, the column would stay at full power after boost.

When the program is edited in the table, it is duplicated in text format in the "Take-off program" («Программа отбора») field
The same program in the "Take-off program" («Программа отбора») text field
This field and the table are linked. A change in the table is immediately shown in this field, and accordingly, if you change a value in this field, it will change in the table too.
The fifth value of the line, the transition temperature, is not shown in the table and can be set only in this field (see Take-off Program of the Rectification Mode). It is not lost when the table is edited.

This lets you copy the program to a text file and save it, and in turn paste any of your programs into this field by copy and paste, including one from the cloud.
You can paste a program used for an earlier distillation run and, if needed, quickly adjust it in the table. This function saves you from having to type the program in again every time.

After the take-off program is created, it must be set in Samovar by pressing "Set program" («Установить программу») on the same tab. Samovar checks the program and, if it finds an error, shows a message with the line number; the program is not changed in that case.

Give the "Set program" command after any adjustment of the program if you want Samovar to accept the changes.

Attention!
On the "Start take-off" («Начать отбор») command, Samovar starts executing the first line of the program. If, during execution, you change the program line that is currently being executed and give the "Set program" command, nothing will happen.
Samovar will continue executing the currently running program line with the volume, rate, container and voltage that were set at the moment it started.

That is, if the operator decides to change the program when Samovar has already started take-off, the changed take-off program will be accepted by Samovar for execution only in the part whose execution has not yet begun.

Tip.
If you want to change the program by altering the process being executed at the moment, there are several ways to do it:
- Add an empty line right after the one being executed, set the values you need in the new line (taking into account the volume already collected), give the "Set program" command and on the main tab press the "Next" («Далее») button (this is what the "Start take-off" button is called during take-off). Samovar will ask you to confirm the transition to the next line.
- Switch to manual control. Samovar will then continue executing the program as far as the take-off amount and container are concerned. The take-off rate can be changed in the "Rate, L/h" («Скорость, л/ч») field of the "Regulator" («Регулятор») card on the main tab, and the voltage in the voltage field of the same card. The changes apply until the transition to the next line.
