To run a heads take-off program
, either select the "Heads" («Головы») mode in the drop-down menu of the "Program" («Программа») tab, or create a line manually in the text field.
Put the Latin letter H (Heads) at the beginning of the line.
A take-off program line will look something like this:
H;250;0.10;1;0.00;120
All values must be separated by a semicolon.
The first parameter (H) is the take-off type. Here it is H (heads).
The second parameter (250), separated from the take-off type by a semicolon, defines how much liquid must be taken off before moving on to the next line. In our case it is 250 milliliters.
The third parameter (0.10), after the semicolon, is the rate at which Samovar must take off the given volume; for the first line in the example it is 100 milliliters per hour, or 0.1 liters per hour.
The fourth parameter (1) defines the container the liquid will be collected into, container No. 1 in the example.
The fifth parameter (0.00) – the transition temperature. 0 — not used, the line ends by volume. A value from 0 to 20 — the line ends when the vapor temperature exceeds the vapor temperature at the moment the line started plus this value. A value of 20 or more — the line ends when the vapor temperature exceeds it. Whichever condition occurs first applies: volume or temperature. At least one of them must be set, otherwise the program will not be accepted. This field is not shown in the table of the "Program" («Программа») tab — it can only be set in the text field.
The sixth parameter (120) defines the voltage Samovar must set on the regulator during this particular line, 120 volts (for the SEM_AVR regulator — power in watts). In the first line of the program it must be a real value: more than 40 volts (400 watts). In the other lines, 0 — do not change the voltage, a number no greater than 40 — add to the current value, a negative number — subtract.
The heads take-off algorithm is such that Samovar does not take into account the setpoint or the difference between the column section temperature sensor and the vapor temperature sensor. Even if at some stage the delta becomes negative, Samovar will continue the take-off. The previously fixed hearts take-off temperatures are reset when a heads line starts. On heads, the
impurity detector only observes: it shows the temperature trend but does not change the rate and does not pause — a rise in vapor temperature on heads is a normal process. All other parameters (reflux level sensor, TCA temperature, water flow rate, etc.) will be monitored and handled by Samovar. When the reflux level sensor triggers, Samovar sounds a signal, shows the message "Flooding sensor triggered!" («Сработал датчик захлёба!») and lowers the voltage by one step (see
Pre-flooding).
If the "Use I2C pump above the pasteurization section" («Использовать I2C-насос над ЦП») option is enabled in the settings and such a pump was detected when Samovar started, then on heads lines it becomes the main take-off pump and runs at the rate set in the line.
Note: The take-off rate and regulator voltage of the program line currently being executed can be changed at any moment in manual mode — in the "Regulator" («Регулятор») card on the main tab. The changes apply until the next line starts.
