Notes
A blue berry wheat ale in tribute to the awesome dog in the yellow raincoat. Sea Dog
After primary fermentation is complete: Clean and sanitize your serving keg and place the prepared blueberries inside. Seal keg and rack the finished beer on top of blueberries for 4-7 days and condition at serving temperature (42 F) until desired blueberry taste. Remove used blueberries/bag, seal keg, carbonate and enjoy!
Blueberry Preparation: Wash 1 - 2 lbs. blueberries and place them into a plastic container and freeze, this may be done weeks in advance.
For the beer: Remove berries from freezer and break apart, place into nylon hop sock. Follow directions above. ** Wear gloves when handling frozen berries or prepare to be purple for a few days. Cheers!
