First distillation mode

 

The main window of Distillation («Дистилляция») mode

 

 

 

On the "Turn on heating" («Включить нагрев») command, Samovar tells the regulator to switch on the "Boost" («Разгон») mode and displays the message "Distiller heating is on" («Включен нагрев дистиллятора»).  You can change the power by typing values into the "Regulator voltage" («Напряжение регулятора») field. The set power is kept until the move to the next take-off program line.

If a boost heating element is connected, it turns on together with the heating and turns off at the first move to the next program line. If the "Use boost heating element during boiling" («Использовать разгонный тэн при кипении») checkbox is cleared on the Settings («Настройки») → Main («Основные») tab, the boost heating element turns off earlier - as soon as Samovar detects that the boiler has started boiling.

The "Next" («Далее») button forces Samovar to move to the next line of the distillation program, without waiting for the condition of the current line to be met. It works only when heating is on.

 

In first distillation mode, Samovar displays and monitors the temperatures from three sensors:

 

Water. The water temperature can be regulated (provided that a water supply pump is used) by changing the setpoint of the water temperature sensor on the Settings («Настройки») - Temperature («Температура») tab. If the sensor in the TCA has heated above its setpoint and is hotter than the water, the pump temporarily increases the water flow.

 

Boiler. When the boiler temperature reaches the value specified:

When the boiler starts boiling, Samovar determines the ABV and displays the message "Boiling has started in the boiler! ABV XX.X" («Началось кипение в кубе! Спиртуозность ХХ.Х»).

 

When it ends, the message "Distillation finished. Total time: N min." («Дистилляция завершена. Общее время: N мин.») is displayed.

 

Samovar 7.00: previously the water was shut off only by the first condition. If the water setpoint was lower than the incoming water temperature plus 20°, the cooling pump ran until the operator turned it off. Now the water is also shut off when the boiler cools down.

 

 

When the water temperature approaches the critical value, Samovar sounds a signal, displays the message "Critical water temperature!" («Критическая температура воды!») and lowers the regulator voltage by 5 units; if the water or TCA temperature keeps rising, the heating is shut off in an emergency.

 

If, on the Settings («Настройки») tab, the checkbox Use pressure correction («Использовать корректировку давления») is set, Samovar will correct the boiler temperature according to how the boiling point of the alcohol-water mixture depends on pressure.

 

Time forecast. In the "Current line" («Текущая строка») block, Samovar shows how many minutes are left until the condition of the current program line is met and until the end of the process (until the set distillation end temperature). The forecast is recalculated every 30 seconds; until the boiler starts boiling, "waiting for actual boiling" («ожидание фактического кипения») is shown, and for the first minutes after that, "collecting data" («накопление данных»). If all program lines have been executed, no line forecast is made.

 

A log is kept, information is sent to Blynk and the cloud, and charts are drawn. The safety group is active.
