Remote Control

The Samovar web interface is designed to work in a trusted local network. The firmware has no built-in username and password check for the control pages.
Do not publish the local Samovar web interface on the internet. Anyone who gets such an address can open the interface and send commands to the device.
To access it from another network, use a secure connection to your home network, for example a VPN on the router or on a separate server. A VPN is an encrypted connection after which a phone or computer works as if it were at home. The setup depends on the router model and is not a function of the Samovar firmware.
To monitor, receive notifications and control over the internet without opening the web interface, use the samovar-tool.ru server: Samovar connects to it by itself, and through it work the Samovar mobile apps for Android and iOS and the control page on the website, push notifications from Samovar, and logs and charts in the cloud. A single app can work by token without registering on the website. For several Samovars, the shared list and names are set in the website menu "User → Devices". The token of each device is entered on the "Other" tab of its settings and must not be published.
Before a remote start, make sure the equipment is assembled safely and that someone nearby can immediately cut the power and the product supply. The remote interface does not replace hardware protections and supervision of the installation.
