Checking that the installation is correct

This check confirms three things: the firmware has started, the ESP32 has connected to the network, and the web interface opens.
1. Open the serial monitor
  1. Connect the ESP32 to your computer with a USB cable that carries data.
  2. In the configurator, press "Serial monitor" («Монитор порта»): the log opens in a separate window. In the Arduino IDE, open Tools → Serial Monitor. In PlatformIO, open PROJECT TASKS → selected environment → General → Monitor.
  3. Set the speed to 115200 baud - this is the speed of communication with the board.
  4. Press RESET/EN on the ESP32, or briefly unplug and replug the USB.
2. Find the connection result
3. Open the web interface
  1. Your computer or phone must be connected to the same home network as Samovar, or directly to the Samovar access point.
  2. Type http:// and the IP address into the browser address bar, for example http://192.168.2.100. Use exactly HTTP, without the letter s.
  3. The Samovar page should open, showing the version, the temperatures and the Settings («Настройки») button. Press Settings and make sure the page opens.
If a router page or another device's page opens instead of the interface, the IP address is wrong. Look up the address again in the serial monitor, on the display, with the "Get IP" («Получить IP») button in the configurator's "Serial monitor" window, or in the router's client list. On the same network you can open http://samovar.local.
The web interface is updated by Samovar itself from the server for the installed firmware version; in the serial monitor these are the lines WEB interface version and Local interface version. If there is no network connection, WEB interface update skipped: no WiFi connection appears. For the first check, do not disable the update mechanism and do not replace individual files by hand.
