Samovar uses DS18B20 digital sensors. Connect them with three wires: 3.3 V power, GND and a shared data line with a 4.7 kΩ pull-up resistor to 3.3 V.
Data line: GPIO5 on ESP32 DevKit, GPIO12 on ESP32-S3 and GPIO27 on LILYGO T-Relay 4. All sensors are connected in parallel to one line; the firmware tells them apart by their unique addresses.
Five roles are supported: steam temperature, column section, cooling water or reflux, boiler and TCA (atmospheric vent tube). After installation, assign the detected addresses to the matching sensors in the Samovar settings ("Settings" («Настройки») → "Temperature" («Температура») tab, fields "Steam sensor address before the dephlegmator" («Адрес датчика пара перед дефлегматором»), "Column section sensor address" («Адрес датчика в царге»), "Water sensor address" («Адрес датчика воды»), "Boiler sensor address" («Адрес датчика в кубе»), "TCA sensor address" («Адрес датчика в ТСА»)) and check the readings before you start heating. The sensors are polled at 12-bit resolution. If a sensor was connected at the start of the process and then disappears, Samovar reports it regularly.
For long lines, use good-quality cable, reliable connections and a separate power supply for the sensors. Parasitic power over two wires is not recommended.
